Grisons (or Graubünden in German) is an easterly canton of Switzerland, bordering Austria and Italy and home to over one thousand mountain peaks, 150 valleys and 615 lakes. In fact there are over 11,000 km of hiking trails in the Grisons. The one and only Swiss National Park is to be found here too, with over 170 sq km in the Engadine, home to abundant alpine flora and fauna such as the bearded vulture, red deer and ibex. From a base in the Grisons such as St Moritz or Davos, you can enjoy hikes in the natural landscape at all levels of experience.
